El religioso ha perdido la fe. Y asà lo expone en sus incendiarias homilÃas y artÃculos para la prensa. Si sus superiores no están contentos, su esposa Saara lo está menos. Las atenciones que recibe el oso, las infidelidades de Oskari, quien ha ido inseminando a mujeres de poblaciones cercanas, y su reciente afición por practicar el lanzamiento de jabalina en vertical, acaban con la paciencia de la pastora y decide largarse. Oskari, por su parte, marchará de viaje con Lucifer (más tarde Belcebú) cruzando en barco el Mar Blanco y el Negro.
