Gonzalo Suárez (Oviedo, 1934), tras estudiar FilosofÃa y Letras en Madrid, desempeñar diversos trabajos en ParÃs y practicar el periodismo en Barcelona, inicia una obra literaria, original, profunda, imaginativa y libre. A partir de los años sesenta, alterna sus libros con pelÃculas que por su personal estilo y calidad literaria pueden considerarse paralelas y complementarias de sus novelas y relatos. Entre sus obras cabe además destacar El sÃndrome de albatros, Ciudadano Sade, Yo, ellas y el otro o El hombre que soñaba demasiado. Por su literatura y sus pelÃculas (Ditirambo, EpÃlogo, Remando al viento o El detective y la muerte), Gonzalo Suárez ha obtenido importantes distinciones nacionales e internacionales, y varios de sus relatos han sido llevados al cine o adaptados al teatro.
