PodrÃa quedarme con varios de los relatos recogidos aquÃ, pero mi favorito es “Mercadoâ€. Un ejemplo muy claro del trasvase cultural entre oriente y occidente, del trasvase entre verbo e imagen que domina la lectura contemporánea. Un extracto del relato:
… en el siglo XIX, las estampas japonesas que revolucionaron el grabado al abandonar los temas tradicionales por otros inspirados en la vida cotidiana, tan ensalzadas por los impresionistas franceses, eran, por el contrario, desdeñadas por los coleccionistas japoneses … (página 105).
